The Rythm of Making

01

We work with natural llama wool, sheep wool, and cotton. Llama fiber comes primarily from the northwestern mountains, while sheep wool is sourced from both the north and south. Each fiber is carefully selected, sheared, and prepared in small lots, ready to become a unique textile.

The Fiber

02

Spinning & Preparation

Once selected, the fibers are prepared and spun into yarn using hand-spinning and traditional techniques. This slow, precise process gives each yarn its own texture and character, shaping how the final textile will look and feel.

03

Color

We embrace the natural tones of llama and sheep wool, from soft ivory to warm, deeper neutrals. Many pieces are also hand-dyed using natural pigments from plants, flowers, fruits, and other local materials, creating subtle variations and depth that become part of each textile’s character.

04

Weaving

The prepared yarns are handwoven on wooden looms by skilled artisans. Different techniques, structures, and densities create variations in texture and form. The intentionally slow process keeps the material and the weaver’s hand visible, making each textile unique.
