Dry Cleaning
Do not wash rugs with water, either by hand or in a washing machine. For deep cleaning, we recommend a professional cleaner experienced in handwoven natural-fiber rugs and dry-cleaning methods.
Vacuuming
Vacuum regularly using low suction and without a rotating brush. Always follow the direction of the weave and avoid excessive friction. Vacuum both sides of the rug carefully. The frequency should increase with foot traffic.
Loose Threads & Pilling
Loose threads are a natural characteristic of handwoven rugs. If a thread appears, gently push it back into the weave using a blunt needle or crochet hook. Do not pull or cut it.
Small areas of pilling may appear over time and can be carefully removed with scissors or a fabric shaver, using a light touch.
Spills & Stains
Act quickly when a spill occurs. Gently blot the liquid with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. Do not rub.
For persistent stains, we recommend consulting a professional rug cleaner. Avoid commercial stain removers.
Sunlight & Storage
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause fading over time.
Store rugs in a clean, dry, well-ventilated environment. Never store them in plastic bags.
